Amid legal crisis, Salman Khan’s team denies links to The Great Indian Kapil Show
Salman Khan’s team shared a statement and denied any involvement with The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. This comes amid legal trouble against the show for insulting the legacy of Rabindranath Tagore.
Kapil Sharma’s Netflix show, The Great Indian Kapil Show, has landed in legal trouble for disrespecting the legacy of Rabindranath Tagore. Reports have emerged that Salman Khan’s production house SKTV was also sent a legal notice due to its alleged involvement in the show. However, Salman Khan’s team has denied these claims and issued a statement clarifying its non-involvement.
The notice was issued by the Bongo-speaking Mahasabha Foundation. It was sent on behalf of Dr. Mandal and was represented by legal advisor Nripendra Krishna Roy. The notice claims that The Great Indian Kapil Show allegedly disrespects the legacy of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore and risks hurting cultural and religious sentiments.
“Some sections of the media are reporting that Salman Khan/SKTV has also received Notice, which is incorrect as we are not associated with The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix,” read the statement from Salman Khan’s team.
The Great Indian Kapil Show features a star-studded cast Which includes Sunil Grover, Krishna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Rajiv Thakur and Archana Puran Singh.
During this time, Salman Khan is currently busy shooting For his upcoming film Sikandar, in which he stars alongside Rashmika Mandanna. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film will be released in theaters on Eid 2025.
