Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel’s iconic film Kaho Na Pyaar Hai is celebrating 25 years of its release today. To mark this milestone, the film is being re-released. In a recent interview, Ameesha Patel, who plays the role of Sonia, shared a behind-the-scenes incident where Hrithik suffered a back injury while shooting for the climax. He revealed that he had to be taken to hospital at 3am due to the severity of the injury and admitted that ‘our hearts were in our mouths.’
During an interview with Zoom, actress Ameesha Patel shared an important incident from the shooting of the climax scene in Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. He recalled that Hrithik Roshan suffered a serious back injury while performing an intense action sequence.
Ameesha told that Hrithik had injured himself after jumping, the sound of which was heard from his back. The actor was immediately rushed to the hospital at 3 a.m., and production of the film was delayed by six months to allow Hrithik bed rest and rehabilitation.
The romantic drama catapulted Hrithik Roshan to overnight fame and introduced Ameesha Patel to the audience.

The film was recently re-released to celebrate its 25th anniversary and also coincided with Hrithik Roshan’s birthday on January 10, 2025.
