Amazon India head Manish Tiwary has left the e-commerce giant. An Amazon spokesperson confirmed his resignation but did not say where he was heading next. “Manish Tiwary, Country Manager, Amazon India, has decided to pursue opportunities outside the company. Over the last eight years, Manish’s leadership has been instrumental in delivering superior services to customers and sellers, making Amazon.in the preferred marketplace in India,” an Amazon India spokesperson said.

Tiwari has spent eight and a half years at Amazon India, joining the company in 2016 after a stint at Unilever. As confirmed by Amazon, he will now move to a new, undisclosed role in another organisation. Tiwari will remain with Amazon until October to ensure a smooth transition.

Tiwari’s departure marks a significant change in leadership for the e-commerce giant’s Indian operations. Details about his successor or his future plans are yet to be revealed. India Today Tech has reached out to Amazon India, but the company is yet to make any official statement on the development.
