Amaran box office first day: Sivakarthikeyan records career best opening
Amaran, released on 31 October, recorded the best opening of actor Sivakarthikeyan’s career. The film grossed over Rs 20 crore in India on its opening day.

Actor Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran, a biopic on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, took a grand opening on Diwali on October 31. This is the best start of Sivakarthikeyan’s career. According to tracking website SacnilkThe film grossed over Rs 21 crore at the domestic box office on the first day. Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, is receiving very positive reviews from all quarters.
Amraan released in theaters on 31 October amid huge anticipation. The film released along with Jayam Ravi’s Brother and Kavin’s Bloody Beggar.
The film took an opening of Rs 21.25 crore in India on the first day. In Tamil Nadu, the film reportedly grossed around Rs 15 crore. With positive reviews, the film is set for a solid opening weekend, as November 1 is a holiday in Tamil Nadu, followed by the weekend.
The Tamil version recorded an overall occupancy of 77.94 percent on 31 October.

With this, Amaran is trailing the opening day numbers of Vijay’s GOAT and Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyaan this year. However, the film overtook the earnings of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 on the first day in Tamil Nadu.
Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, stars Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. The film is jointly produced by Raj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India. It is an adaptation of the book series, India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes, by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh.
