Tamil war film Amaran continues to perform well at the ticket counter. According to industry tracking site Saknilak, the film earned Rs 7.40 crore on the ninth day of its release, taking its total collection at the domestic box office to Rs 122.25 crore.
The worldwide collection of Amaran is currently Rs 197.5 crore.
On November 8, it had an impressive 37.36 percent Tamil occupancy.
Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, is a biopic on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan. The film is based on the book series, India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes, by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. In the three-part book, one chapter is about Mukund and his mission.
The film is financed by Raj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India. Apart from Sivakarthikeyan, the film also stars Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora and Rahul Bose in important roles.
Amaran is currently running successfully in theatres.
