Amaran Box Office Day 2: Sivakarthikeyan film continues its stellar performance
Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s Amaran, the biopic of Major Mukund Varadarajan, is performing excellently at the box office despite competition from major Bollywood releases.
Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s latest release, Amaran, is performing strong at the box office. The film, which is a biopic of Major Mukund Varadarajan, marked Sivakarthikeyan’s highest opening day numbers. On the second day, despite two big budget Bollywood releases, Tamil films continued to perform well at the box office.
According to tracking website Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 19.25 crore at the domestic box office on the second day. The film earned Rs 21.40 crore on its opening day.The total collection of the film has now reached Rs 40.65 crore. Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, is one of the biggest Tamil releases of the year.
What’s even more remarkable is the fact that despite the release of two big budget Bollywood films – Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the film is holding its own and standing unafraid. In fact, the film received a massive occupancy of 81.70 percent in Tamil Nadu. November 1 (Day 2), which means people want to watch the movie. The numbers can be expected to increase over the weekend.

Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, stars Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. The film is jointly produced by Raj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India. It is an adaptation of the book series, India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes, by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh.
