Amar Boss Teaser: Rakhi Gulzar’s return film promises hearty moments
The teaser of the Amar Boss, which marks Rakhi Gulzar’s return after 22 years and facilitates Shiboprosad Mukherjee, is out. Directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, the film is set for release of May 9 before Mother’s Day.
The teaser of Aamar Boss, which would mark the return of veteran actor Rakhi Gulzar after 22 years and the position of filmmaker-actor Shiboprosad Mukherjee was also unveiled. Directed by the pair Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, the film is set to hit theaters on May 9, 2025 – just ahead of Mother’s Day.
The teaser gives the audience a compelling look at the two opposite sides of Enemesh Goswami played by Shiboprosad Mukherjee. On one hand, he is affectionate, dotting son who after returning from work feeds his mother with love. On the other hand, he emerges as a rigid and appears to a toxic boss in his workplace. This duality determines the platform for an emotionally charged story that deepens in family bonds and dynamics of the workplace.
However, the biggest turn comes at the end of the teaser – his Mother, played by Rakhi Gulzar, Becomes an employee in his office. This adds another layer of intrigue, questioning how their personal and professional world collides.

Speaking about the film, Shiboprosad Mukherjee shared, “Amar Boss is a deep emotional story that celebrates a complex bond between a mother and her son. Working with Rakhi Gulzar has been a complete respect-that brings a unique grace and depth, which makes the mother-pun relationship feel real and warmly.”
The film has already attracted significant attention to the festival circuit. Aamar Boss was selected for India’s 55th International Film Festival (IFFI) Indian Panorama and earned nomination for the prestigious ICFT-UNESCO Gandhi Medal. It was also included in the Chennai International Film Festival by the National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC).
