Allu Arjun’s bail hearing in theater stampede case adjourned till December 30
The judicial remand hearing in the Pushpa 2 stampede case was postponed to January 10 due to actor Allu Arjun’s virtual appearance, while the court postponed the bail arguments to December 30 following a request by the prosecutor.

A Nampally court, which was hearing the regular bail plea of actor Allu Arjun, adjourned the hearing till December 30. The court had earlier placed the actor on 14-day judicial custody which was scheduled to end today.
The actor appeared virtually for a court hearing today in connection with the ongoing investigation into the death of a 35-year-old woman in a stampede during the screening of Pushpa 2 at a theatre.
During the proceedings, the government lawyer sought additional time to file the reply, forcing the court to postpone the debate on the bail plea.
The actor’s legal team informed the court about the interim bail granted to him earlier by the Telangana High Court.
Meanwhile, the court also adjourned the hearing related to extension of judicial custody of Allu Arjun till January 10.
The Sandhya theater stampede case has attracted significant public and legal attention, with the actor’s bail plea being the focus of the legal proceedings. Both the government lawyer’s reply and the actor’s plea for regular bail are expected to be discussed in the next hearing.
A 35-year-old woman died and her eight-year-old son is in the intensive care unit of a private hospital after a stampede during the benefit show of Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theater on December 4.
Three weeks after the incident, the accused, including the actor and the theater management, are being questioned, while the child is still battling for life in the hospital.
Recently, the makers of Allu Arjun and Pushpa 2 had announced a compensation of Rs 2 crore to the child’s family. While Allu Arjun gave Rs 1 crore, Mythri Movies and director Sukumar gave Rs 50 lakh each. Film producer and Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju handed over compensation to the family.
