Allu Arjun among 23 people named in charge sheet related to 2024 Pushpa 2 stampede
Allu Arjun has been named among the 23 accused in the December 2024 Sandhya theater stampede case, with the Hyderabad Police filing a detailed 100-page chargesheet on alleged crowd management failures.

The Hyderabad Police has filed a detailed charge sheet in connection with the stampede that took place during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre, an incident in which a woman lost her life and her young son was seriously injured. The 100-page document names 23 accused, including the film’s lead actor Allu Arjun, theater management and security personnel, holding the organizers responsible for lapses in crowd control during the high-profile event. Allu Arjun has been named as accused number 11 (A-11) in the case.
The chargesheet was filed by Chikkadpally police and it pertains to the stampede that took place at the prestigious evening theater at RTC X Roads, Hyderabad on December 4, 2024. According to the police, a sudden huge crowd gathered during the premiere of the film leading to chaos which resulted in the tragic incident.
Of the 23 persons named as accused in the case, theater owners and management have been listed as the primary accused, with investigators pointing to serious lapses in planning and crowd management. Security personnel and staff associated with the program have also been included in the chargesheet.
Actor Allu Arjun has been named as accused number 11 (A-11). Additionally, members of his personal staff and security team as well as representatives associated with the film’s production house have also been listed among the accused.
Police officials say that it is the responsibility of the organizers to ensure public safety during such large-scale events. The charge sheet reportedly details how inadequate arrangements and failure to control the crowd contributed to the deadly stampede.
Further legal proceedings are expected in the case as the court will take cognizance of the charge sheet and investigate the role of the named people in the incident.
