All We Imagine as Light on OTT: When and where to watch Payal Kapadia’s film
Payal Kapadia’s award-winning film All We Imagine as Light is finally releasing on OTT. Starring Kani Kushruti, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam and Hridayu Haroon, it will be available on Disney+Hotstar.

The critically acclaimed film All We Imagine as Light is set to release on OTT. Directed by Payal Kapadia, the thought-provoking and award-winning drama will premiere on Disney+Hotstar in January. The film explores the intertwined lives of two Malayali nurses in Mumbai.
On Friday, a post was shared on the official handle of Disney+ Hotstar announcing that All We Imagine as Light will start streaming on it from January 3. Talking about the streaming release, director Payal Kapadia said, “I am thrilled with the love All We Imagine as Light has received from all of you. After a successful theatrical run, I am glad that it is now available to watch on Disney+Hotstar. Will be available for.” I’m so excited to now share it with a wider audience.”
Kani Kusruti, who plays Prabha, a troubled woman yearning for her absent husband, said, “When I read the script, what struck me most was Prabha’s intense self-discovery and quiet transformation.”
He further added, “Working with Payal was a serendipitous experience. She creates a workspace where everyone can grow, while also listening carefully and helping us discover our characters carefully.”

All We Imagine as Light made history as the first Indian film in 30 years to compete in the main competition at the Cannes Film Festival, where it was awarded the Grand Prix.
The film has received tremendous accolades, including topping BFI’s Sight & Sound poll for Best Film of 2024, the Asia Pacific Screen Awards Jury Grand Prize, the Gotham Award for Best International Feature, and more.
It also received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Foreign Language Film and Payal Kapadia a nomination for Best Director, making her the first Indian female director to achieve this historic feat. This further cements the film’s legacy as one of the most important releases of the year.
It stars Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam, Hrudu Haroon and Azis Nedumangad who have delivered powerful performances in pivotal roles.
