Trigger warning: This article mentions death.
As we head into exploitable space filled with dangerous creatures, the final trailer for Alien: Romulus brings in some old friends. Hardcore followers will recognize these friends as the terrifying Chestbursters that are shown hunting down space convoys.
This is the big deal that Alien fans have been waiting for during the film’s promotion.
Chestbursters are back in Alien: Romulus
One of the most awaited movies is just a few weeks away from its release and audiences are in for a surprise with its final trailer.
While the latest trailer for the space adventure film showcases old and classic hunts, viewers are also in for a surprise with the huge tease of the Chessbursters.
Taking the audience back to its original horror roots, the new trailer shows us a spectacular interstellar chase. This time focusing on some teenagers, Alien: Romulus will also bring some great shots that will take you into a cyberpunk like atmosphere.
First, we see the overcrowded colonies, and as the colonists leave the planet, they have only their spaceship to survive. However, there are some unwanted guests to terrorize here too: xenomorphs, facehuggers, and, as shown in the latest trailer, Chessbusters.
These ancient creatures were introduced in the trailer through a very intelligent scene. We see one of the colonists feeling something strange inside his body. To check what is wrong, Aileen Wu’s character uses a light from behind. However, the character is shown uncovering a new fear, as a chestburster came alive inside his body behind the rib cage.
After tremendous suffering and an extremely gory scene, Wu dies in a manner similar to what we have seen in old science fiction films.
