Anurag Kashyap’s daughter, Alia Kashyap married her longtime boyfriend Shane Gregoire in a dreamy ceremony on December 11, 2024. Recently, the filmmaker’s ex-wife, Kalki Koechlin, who also attended the wedding, wrote a heart-touching note. With quotes on love from various authors and poets to wish the quintessential Bollywood romance to the newly married couple.
Kalki shared some pictures from the wedding on her Instagram handle and penned a note with quotes from Patti Smith, EE Cummings, Maya Angelou and Rabindranath Tagore. She highlighted the importance of love, freedom and the beauty of life in the note to wish the couple all the best on their new journey.
“Wishing you guys all the ‘ishq, pyaar aur mohabbat’ (like the theme of thousands of Bollywood movies) in the world,” he wrote at the end of the note.

For those unaware, Kalki and Anurag Kashyap met on the sets of the film Dev D in 2008. This marked her debut in Hindi films, as they began dating and got married in 2011. However, after four years of their marriage, they separated.
Reflecting on her relationship with Anurag Kashyap, Koechlin mentioned in an old interview with Pooja Talwar that the initial years after her divorce were tough for her on a personal level but taking therapy helped her. As a result, she became good friends with the filmmaker.
Meanwhile, Alia Kashyap’s wedding, followed by the reception, was a star-studded event and guests including Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina, Suhana Khan, Vikramaditya Motwane, Imtiaz Ali, Abhishek Bachchan wished the couple.
