Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan has been an inspiration for many actors in the film industry. One of them is Alia Bhatt, who has often expressed her admiration for the superstar. Recently, she opened up about Shah Rukh and revealed that his iconic Palt scene with Kajol in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge thrills her. Alia believes that every girl wants to relive that scene in her life.
In a recent interview with Allure magazine, Alia Bhatt revealed that Shah Rukh Khan is the first person to come to her mind whenever she thinks of Indian cinema. She added that the same would be true for many others as well. The actress then discussed his Palt scene from DDLJ, in which he is waiting for Kajol to turn around to see if she loves him. Alia spoke about that moment and how she felt. She said, “Then he’s waiting for her to turn around, ‘Palt’, and then suddenly she turns around, and then the music starts playing, and it’s like butterflies are flying, goosebumps, everything has come together.”
Alia further added, “But I think every girl wants this kind of fun in her life, where you look back and there’s a guy looking at you or he’s waiting to look at you.” Alia concluded by saying that everything about Shah Rukh symbolizes ‘love’ for her, and there was nothing but love in the Palt scene.
Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan have worked together in the slice-of-life film Dear Zindagi in 2016. She has made a special appearance in Shah Rukh Khan’s film Zero, while Shah Rukh Khan has made a cameo in her Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva. Alia has also co-produced her first production film Darlings with Shah Rukh Khan.
Talking about her upcoming projects, Alia Bhatt is gearing up for the release of her action thriller Ziggra. Directed by Vasan Bala and co-starring Vedang Raina, the film is set to hit the theatres on October 11, 2024. Apart from this, she also has Alpha and Love and War in her lineup.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is soon going to start shooting for his next film King. He will be working with his daughter Suhana Khan for the first time in this Sujoy Ghosh directed film.
