Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt congratulated filmmaker Payal Kapadia on her Golden Globe Award nomination for her film All We Imagine as Light. He has been nominated for Best Director (Motion Picture category) at the 82nd Golden Globes Awards 2025. Additionally, the film has also been nominated in the Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language category at the prestigious awards ceremony.
Alia expressed her excitement and pride on social media, writing, “History is yours.” In the Best Non-English Language Motion Picture category, All We Imagine as Light will compete against French films Emilia Pérez (which also won the most nominations at the 82nd Golden Globes), The Girl with the Needle, I’m Still Here, The Golden Globe, and The Golden Globe. All We Imagine as Light, released theatrically in India on 22 November, had previously received international acclaim. The film became the first Indian film to win the prestigious Grand Prix at Cannes 2024.
