Chhawa wreaked havoc at the box office in 2025. Vicky Kaushal and Rashami Mandanna got a lot of love from Bollywood celebrities as well as Bollywood celebrities. During Alexander’s promotion, Salman Khan reviewed the period drama and shared his views about it. He was praising all for the performance of Vicky and Rashamika.
In a recent interview with NDTV, Salman Khan appreciated the film Chhawa and also showered love to its main pair, Vicky Kaushal and Rashamika Mandanna. He said, “Chhawa is very hi schchi picture thi (Chhawa is a very good film). And I think Vicky has done a great job and so he (Rashamika) … has done a great job in Chhawa.”
Chhatrapati is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Vicky Kaushal played a Titular role, while Rashmika Mandanna portrayed his wife Maharani Yasubai. Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Vineet Kumar Singh, Diana Paint and Santosh Juvekar were also seen in important roles.
The film is directed by Laxman Utekar and is produced by Dinesh Vision under his banner, Madock Films. It hit the big screen on Valentine’s Day on 14 February. The film is ready to premiere on OTT very soon.
Earlier, Alia Bhatt had also shared a review of Chhawa on her Instagram stories. Appreciating his love and war-stagger Vicky, he said, “Vicky Kaushal! What are you ????? You can’t control your performance in the proud! Praising the Rashamika, he said,” @rashmika_mandanna very beautiful … very beautiful … very beautiful … !! “
Chhawa marked the first cooperation of Vicky Kaushal and Rashamika Mandanna. The actress worked with Salman Khan for the first time in her recently released action thriller Sikander.
Alexander’s artists also include Pratik Babbar, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, Anjini Dhawan and Satyaraj. The film is starred by Ghajini director R. Murugados and is produced under Nadidwala grandson Entertainment by Sajid Nadidwala. It was released in theaters on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from the festive occasion of Eid.
Looking forward, Salman Khan will work with Sanjay Dutt in an action film, while Rashmika Mandanna will be seen in Thama.
