AR Murugados, who made Ghajini, is now ready for the release of Alexander. He is collaborating for the first time with Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna. Recently, the director opened about the story and shared that this would be a ‘surprise element’ with Aamir Khan and Asin, like their 2008 film. He revealed that the element was love.
In a recent conversation with Atiems, AR Murugados was asked if Alexander would have emotional depth like Ghajini. In response, he shared that it would happen. He said that it was made on strong family sentiments and it was not just a collective film.
The filmmaker further said that while Ghajini appeared a love story between a lover and girlfriend, his upcoming film would be about a husband and wife Bond. Murugados mentioned that the ‘highlight’ of the film would be that nowadays families and couples work and what is lacking in our relationships.
He said, “Although Ghazini seemed a psycho thriller for the audience, the love story of Aamir and Asin was amazing element. Similarly, here is an element of love that will transfer the audience.”
During the interview, AR Murugados called Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s Alexander a ‘Mass’ film, which has a strong emotional rungs similar to Aamir Khan and Asin’s Ghazini. He said that the audience initially thought that the latter was just an action thriller, but the love story became its ’emotional core’. The filmmaker concluded, “Similarly, Alexander has a surprise element- the story of a deep, husband and wife is in its heart.”
Earlier, Aamir Khan greeted Alexander’s team for the release. During a meeting with Paprazi before his 60th birthday, during a meeting-and-Grit, the actor praised his Ghajini director R. Murugados. He said, “The combination of Toh Murugados and Salman is to have fun to Hamga Logon (hence, we will enjoy watching the combination of Murugados and Salman).”
Along with Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, with Sikanderraj Sathraj, Pratik Babbar, Kajal Aggarwal and Sharman Joshi. The film is produced by Sajid Nadidwala. It is set to enter theaters on March 30, 2025.
