Akshay Kumar, who recently suffered an eye injury on the sets of Housefull 5, responded with humor when asked about it. The actor was at a press conference when he enlightened everyone about his health with a witty reply. Reportedly, the actor suffered an eye injury while performing a stunt on the sets of the film.

according to Hindustan TimesAkshay’s eye was hurt by some object during a stunt. An ophthalmologist was immediately called to the set, treatment was given, a bandage was applied and rest was recommended. Despite the incident, filming continued with the remaining cast.

However, Akshay was determined to return to the sets as soon as possible to avoid any delays. The actor has probably resumed shooting for the film.

Housefull 5 features the return of Abhishek Bachchan, Shreyas Talpade, Chunky Pandey and Nargis Fakhri along with an ensemble cast including the film’s regular cast, Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh. The new cast includes Fardeen Khan, Dino Morea, Johnny Lever, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangada Singh and Soundarya Sharma.

Production on the film began in Europe earlier this year, with the cast spending 40 days filming on a cruise ship that departed from Newcastle to Spain, Normandy, Honfleur and back to Plymouth.

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 is scheduled for release on June 6, 2025.
