Actor Akshay Kumar, who is currently shooting for Housefull 5 in Mumbai, met with an accident while performing a stunt for the film. It is reported that the actor suffered an eye injury during this incident.

According to Hindustan Times, an object fell on Akshay’s eye while performing the stunt. An ophthalmologist was immediately called to the set, who treated him by bandaging his eyes and advising him to rest. Despite the injury, shooting continued with other actors.

However, Akshay is determined to return to the sets soon as the film is nearing completion, and he wants to avoid any delays.

Housefull 5 features an ensemble cast including series regulars Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh along with the return of Abhishek Bachchan, Shreyas Talpade, Chunky Pandey and Nargis Fakhri. The new cast includes Fardeen Khan, Dino Morea, Johnny Lever, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangada Singh and Soundarya Sharma.

Production on the film began in Europe earlier this year, with the cast spending 40 days filming on a cruise ship sailing from Newcastle to Spain, Normandy, Honfleur and back to Plymouth.

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 is scheduled for release on June 6, 2025.
