Actor Akshay Kumar visited director Farah Khan’s house and offered condolences to her and her brother Sajid Khan. His mother Menaka Irani passed away on July 26 due to prolonged illness. When he left the house, Sajid Khan saw him off at the entrance. The ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ actor gave Sajid a warm hug while leaving the house. For those who don’t know, Akshay and Sajid share a very close bond and have worked together on several projects.

In a video shared by paparazzo Manav Mangalani, Akshay Kumar can be seen stepping out of Farah Khan’s house. He was seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, while Sajid was seen in a black T-shirt and shorts.

On 27 July, several celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan and his family, Rani Mukerji and Shilpa Shetty, visited him and offered their condolences.

A few days before her death, Maneka Irani had celebrated her birthday on July 12. She had shared several pictures with her mother on her Instagram page and penned an emotional note.

She wrote, “We all take our mothers for granted…especially me! Last month I realized how much I love my mom Menaka…she is the strongest, bravest person I have ever known…even after multiple surgeries her sense of humor is still intact. Happy birthday mom! Today is a good day to be back home. I can’t wait for you to be strong enough to fight me again…I love you.”

Menaka Irani was ill for several weeks and passed away around 3 am on July 26. She was the sister of actresses Daisy Irani and Honey Irani. She was 79 years old.
