Nandamuri Balakrishna is currently working on his upcoming film Akhanda 2. Directed by Boyapati Sarenu, the film was initially slate to release on 25 September 2025, which coincides with Dashsera, but it seems that fans will have to wait a bit.
Akhand 2 Dashera postponed from release
Taking his official social media handle, the makers of Akhan 2 released a statement that the film’s adjournment was announced from the release date of 25 September.
The Post read, “Akhara 2 ‘God of Mass’ Balakrishna and director Boyapati bring back the blockbuster combination of Sarenu, which is celebrated to redefine large -scale action entertainers and build some of the most reputable moments in Telugu cinema.”
He said, “For a film of this scale, re-ricading, VFX, and the entire post-production process has demanded careful attention and hence the film requires additional time to present its entirely best time, looking at the weight of expectations that Akhan 2 borces the first part’s blockbuster success,” he said.
The statement said that the film will be postponed from the original release date when the crew is trying tirelessly around the clock to give the best product. In addition, a new release date will be announced in the appointed time.
The manufacturers concluded and wrote, “We are committed to crossing all expectations and giving the audience a dramatic experience. Akhhand 2 will not be just one film, it will be the festival of cinema.”

About Akhand 2
Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer Akhand 2 – Thandavam is an action drama, directed and co -written by Boyapati Sarenu. The sequel film features The Veteran Star as Aghora which uses his powers to fight against evil and save the world.
The upcoming film NBK’s 2021 blockbuster is the sequel to Akhanda and includes Samukti and Audi Pinnisitty as co-Leides.
Interestingly, the Akhara 2 was expected to hit with Pawan Kalyan starring, they call it OG (or just OG). Since the gangster action flick is also scheduled to release on September 25, 2025, after several postponement, now it appears that the conflict between the two stars has been saved.
