Akhand 2: Thandavam is set to start streaming on OTT platform Netflix. The film will be available digitally from January 9, 2026. The platform shared the official update via its social media handles.
Sharing the announcement, Netflix wrote, “Babu ready babu… start the camera… action! Watch Akhand 2 on Netflix, January 9 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada & Malayalam.”

Akhand 2: Thandavam begins with a rivalry in which a neighboring country is plotting to destroy India by attacking what it considers to be the spiritual backbone of the country. The rival nation is planning a massive bio-warfare attack during the Maha Kumbh Mela, which will throw the country into complete crisis.
As DRDO is working on creating an antidote to the impending threat, the responsibility falls into the hands of Murali Krishna’s 16-year-old daughter Janani, a genius with an IQ of 266.
When Janani successfully develops a vaccine against the threat of biowarfare, she becomes a prime target of the enemy nation. Sensing her life is in danger, her uncle and aghora, Akhand Rudra Sikandar, comes back once again to protect her, as they had promised in the first instalment.
How Akhand uses his divine power and supernatural powers as a one-man army to counter the threat against Janani and the nation forms the rest of the narrative.
This film is the sequel to the 2021 film Akhanda, which was a huge hit.

Akhand 2 stars Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role, along with Samyukta, Aadhi Pinisetty, Harshaali Malhotra, Viji Chandrasekhar, Kabir Duhaan Singh, Saswata Chatterjee, Achyuth Kumar, Sangay Tsheltrim, Poorna and many others in lead roles.
Written and directed by Boyapati Srinu, the fantasy action thriller has music and background score composed by Thaman S. The film is bankrolled by Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta and Ishaan Saxena under the banners of 14 Reels Plus Entertainment and IVY Entertainment.
The cinematography of Akhand 2 was handled by C. Ramprasad and Santosh Ditke, while Tammiraju served as editor.
