Ajith Kumar issued a strong statement regarding the viral ‘Kadavule…Ajithe’ chants in public places. He called it uncomfortable and asked people to refrain from sloganeering.

Actor Ajith Kumar, who is awaiting the release of his film Vidamuyarchi, issued a bold statement against the rising ‘Kadavule…Ajithe’ chants at public events and functions. Calling it disturbing and inconvenient, the actor asked people to refrain from indulging in such activities.
For those unaware, the slogan ‘Kadavule…Ajithe’ originated when a man said it on a YouTube channel and it quickly went viral. The mantra was soon adopted by many people in Tamil Nadu, who started using it in public places. Kadavule is a Tamil word which means Lord. In the last few months the term has taken on a sarcastic connotation. On 10th December, Ajit Kumar, through his publicist Suresh Chandracondemned the use of such chants in a press release issued in Tamil and English.
“Recently, a certain factor has been troubling me and particularly the slogans ‘K….’, ‘Ajithe’ have been chanted publicly in various programs and public gatherings. I do not bear with me the mentioned exaggeration or any “I prefer to be addressed by my name or my initials,” the statement said.
