Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended the 100th birth anniversary celebrations of Lord Sri Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday morning. The event brought together several notable personalities including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. The actor paid special attention to the teachings of Lord Sri Sathya Sai Baba. They recalled his message of service and the importance of leadership rooted in helping others. During her speech, Aishwarya highlighted Swami’s concept of ‘five D’s’ and said, “Your presence here adds sanctity and inspiration to this centenary celebration and reminds us of Swami’s message that true leadership is service, and service to man is service to God… Lord Sri Sathya Sai Baba often spoke about the five D’s. A meaningful, purposeful and spiritually based life requires five essential qualities – Discipline: This is the hallmark of a true human being. Dedication: Whatever you do, do it as an offering to God. Determination: Once you have chosen the right path, never look back. Discrimination: The ability to choose between right and wrong, is the very heart of human life.”
He further commented on the role of spirituality and discipline in daily life, reiterating the spiritual leader’s thoughts on dedication and right conduct. He emphasized that these teachings remain relevant to people seeking a meaningful and purposeful existence.
