Human-level Artificial Intelligence (AI), popularly known as Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), can reach by 2030 and “permanently destroy humanity”, a new research paper of Google Deepmind has predicted.
“Given the massive impact of AGI, we hope that it can also pose a possible risk of serious losses,” the study exposed, adding the risks of that existence that “permanently destroy humanity” are clear examples of serious disadvantages.
“Between these loops of spectrum, the question whether any given loss is serious, there is no case for Google deepmind to decide; instead it is the scope of society, its collective risk is directed by tolerance and concept of loss.”
In particular, the co-writer paper by Deepmind co-founder Shane leg did not specifically explain how the AGI resulted in the result of extinction of mankind. Instead, it focuses on preventive measures that Google and other AI companies should take to reduce the risk of AGI.
The study distinguishes the risks of advanced AI into four major categories: misuse, misleading, mistakes and structural risk. It also highlights the risk mitigation strategy of deepminds that focus around the prevention of misuse where people can use AI to harm others.
Deepmind CEO warns
In February, Damis Hasabis, CEO of Deepmind, said that AGI, which is smart or smarter than humans, will start to emerge in the next five or 10 years. He also batted for the Umbrella Organization like a United Nations to oversee the development of AGI.
“I would advocate a kind of ceremony for AGI, and by this, I mean a kind of international research focus on high end cooperation on the AGI development front and tried and tried and to make it safe as much as possible.
“You have to be associated with an institute with an institute like IAEA, monitoring unprotected projects and like a deal with them.

What is Agi?
Agi takes AI a step forward. While AI is effortless, the AGI is aimed at intelligence information, which can be applied in a wide range of functions similar to human intelligence. In short, Agi will be a machine, in which diverse domains will have the ability to understand knowledge, learn and apply knowledge, much like a human being.
