Episode 7 of Agatha All Along has been the talk of the town ever since its release on October 23. With the episode arriving on the streaming platform, there is a major twist in the story as several secrets are revealed by the characters. The episode, titled Death’s Hand in Mine, has also received attention due to insights shared by the creators about the writing and filming process after the scenes aired.
This week’s episode was directed by Jac Schaeffer, who was not initially scheduled to take the director’s seat. Schaefer was originally contracted to direct only the first two episodes of the show. However, as production of the Marvel series progressed, issues arose and Schaefer had to step in.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Schaefer discussed the hard work that went into creating this important episode of the season. When asked about the development of the current story, the director credited the two writers who previously worked with him on WandaVision.
Schaefer shared, “I hired two people because I knew it would be very difficult. The writers are WandaVision’s Cam Squires and our writers’ assistant, Jia King, who was such a superstar in the room that I paired her with Cam.

He added, “They wrote different pieces and stitched them together, and then we backfilled.” Additionally, the producers shed light on the filming process throughout the season, which had a huge impact on viewers of the Disney+ series.
When asked about shooting certain scenes, the director revealed that there were times when the crew had to stop filming to adjust lighting, particularly during scenes with Patti LuPone playing Lilia Calderoo in Agatha All Along. Playing a role.
Speaking about the challenges she faced during filming, Schaeffer mentioned that she also turned to tarot cards to deal with some difficult moments. He explained, “But then there were the tarot moments, and that was even more challenging because we shot some of the early scenes without actually designing tarot cards.”
She added, “My assistant, Brittany Horn, actually created the art for the tarot cards. It was amazing because she was right there, and I said, ‘Okay, this is the shot we’ve already done, so make the tarot cards just like that.'”
