We were declared by Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee for a dramatic re-relief on 16 May after we tumor, yet another beloved Bollywood classic is set to return to the big screen. Dhadak, Akshar Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Shilpa Shetty will hit theaters again in theaters remanded on 23 May, digitally reminded format.
The first released on August 11, 2000, Dhadakan left a permanent impression with his emotional story and intimate music. Directed by Dharmesh Darshan, the film tells the story of Anjali (starred by Shilpa Shetty), who is in deep love with Dev (Sunil Shetty), a emotional but poor man. However, his rich family opposes the match and arranges for Ram (Akshay Kumar), a kind, understanding and his marriage to a successful person. As Anjali slowly starts loving her husband, Dev reappears in his life, which causes a heartbreaking love triangle that fascinated the audience.
With the subjects of love, sacrifice and personal development, a major box-office became a success, which earns around Rs 26 crore globally. Its greatest strength, however, was its music. The mythical pair with songs by Sameer became the second best selling album of the year, behind Soundtrack Mohabatin, composed by Madem-Shravan. Songs like “Dil Ne Kaha Hai Dil Se” and “Tum Dil Ki Dhadkan Mein” are still nurtured by fans, which has made a music treasure in Bollywood’s history.
Now, after about 25 years, fans will have a chance to remove magic in theaters. The film is ready to re -release in selected theaters in a new remaster format in India, promising a great view and audio experience for both new audience and long fans.
The film also included a talented supporting cast, including Sharmila Tagore, Parmeet Sethi, Kiran Kumar, Sushma Seth and Manjeet Kullar, with emotional depth in the story.
On the work front, Sunil Shetty was recently seen in Netflix’s romantic comedy Nadaniyan, while Akshay Kumar was last seen in Kesari: Chapter 2. He is also gearing up with Tabu, Paresh Rawal and Vamika Gabi with his upcoming horror-comedy ghost bungalow.
