After Team India won T20 World Cup 2024, Anushka Sharma wrote a special note for her ‘home’ Virat Kohli; called daughter Vamika her ‘biggest worry’

On June 29, the Indian men’s cricket team fulfilled their 11-year-old dream of bringing home the T20 World Cup trophy. As soon as the Indian team finally became the champions, several B-town celebs took to social media to congratulate them.

Among them was actress Anushka Sharma, who expressed concern for her daughter Vamika after seeing the players crying on TV. Read on!

The T20 World Cup 2024 tournament was as exciting as it could be. It was a whirlwind of emotions, not just for the Indian team but for the millions who watched the team and prayed for their victory.

On June 29, when Team India finally lifted the championship trophy, Anushka Sharma took to social media to congratulate the team, whose star player was her husband Virat Kohli. She shared glimpses of many great moments from the field, while also revealing that her daughter Vamika was worried about the players when she saw them crying on TV.

The Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi actress wrote, “Our daughters’ biggest worry was if there was anyone to hug all the players after seeing them crying on TV… Yes my dears, they were hugged by 1.5 billion people. What a great win and what an amazing achievement!! Champions – congratulations!!”

Anushka shared another post appreciating her husband’s efforts. She shared a photo of Virat proudly holding the trophy, in which his wife expressed how happy she is to call Virat home.

Sharing how she celebrated the moment, Sharma wrote, “And… I love this man @viratkohli. So grateful to call you home – now grab me a glass of sparkling water to celebrate!”

After dating for a while, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli got married in an intimate ceremony in Italy on December 11, 2017. A few years later, the actress gave birth to a girl, Vamika, on January 11, 2021. Earlier this year, the celebrity couple flew to London to celebrate their second pregnancy and gave birth to their second child, a son, in February 2024, whom they named Akay.
