The entertainment industry was shaken when popular comedian Sunil Pal claimed that he has been kidnapped. Another similar incident related to Gadar 2 actor Mushtaq Khan has come to light. According to reports, the senior artiste was abducted from the Delhi-Meerut highway and tortured for 12 hours.
Speaking to India Today Digital, Stree 2 actor Mushtaq Khan’s business partner said that the actor was lured to Delhi on November 20 on the pretext of attending an awards show in Meerut. For the event, she was also given a boarding ticket and the advance payment was sent to her bank account.
However, upon reaching the national capital, the Gadar 2 actor was tricked into boarding a car which took him to a secluded area near Bijnor, away from New Delhi. At this location he was held hostage by kidnappers and allegedly tortured for 12 hours. He also demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore from Khan.
However, they managed to withdraw only Rs 2 lakh from the bank accounts of Khan and his son. Shivam also told the publication that Khan was able to escape from the kidnappers’ captivity when he realized that there was a mosque nearby. When the time was right, he fled the location and sought help from the local people who recognized him. With the help of police, Mushtaq returned safely to Mumbai.
His business partner said that his family is completely shocked by what happened to Mushtaq. After the incident, Shivam went to Bijnor to lodge an official FIR, while Khan intends to lodge an FIR himself soon.
“We have evidence from flight tickets, bank accounts and even CCTV footage near the airport. He recognizes the neighborhood, even the house where he was kept. I think the police team will catch the culprits soon,” Shivam revealed.
