After the success of Baahubali and RRR, all eyes are on SS Rajamouli’s next big banner hit on screen, SSMB29 with Mahesh Babu. The film is touted to be a globe-trotting adventure film, and the buzz about the project keeps fans excited.
And now, according to a recent report in Times Now, the filmmaker might have planned another project in the pipeline, which will be launched only after the completion of SSMB29.
The news portal quoted a source close to the filmmaker as saying that SS Rajamouli is likely to work on the adaptation of Mahabharata, which is a big venture that he is keen to bring to the silver screen.
The source said, ‘King always wanted to make his own version of Mahabharata. Actually, he wanted to do Mahabharata right after Baahubali. But he was advised not to do so, as it seemed very dangerous to go on that road at that time. So they did RRR instead. But now, it is a do or die situation for him. He feels that if he doesn’t get into it, he never will.”
Well, in fact, working on the epic Mahabharata has been a strong desire of the filmmaker.
He had earlier mentioned in one of his statements how he had conceived a screenboard for an ambitious project with Aamir Khan.
Despite all the rumours, it is important to note here that no official confirmation has been given by the film producer on any such report yet.
Currently, SS Rajamouli is said to be busy with his world tour adventure with Mahesh Babu’s SSMB29. The lead role for the film has reportedly been filled by Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
