Hrithik Roshan is busy shooting for his much-awaited YRF spy universe film War 2. Another much-awaited project of the actor is Krrish 4, the next installment of the popular superhero franchise. Now it has been learned that after completing the shooting of War 2, Hrithik is going to start shooting for the film in the summer of 2025.
According to a recent report in Midday, the makers of Hrithik Roshan starrer War 2 are planning to finish the film by April 2025. A source told the portal that director Ayan Mukherjee has some important action sequences lined up for the last schedule and he wants to ensure that they surpass those from the first film. “The April schedule will be entirely dedicated to fights and stunts, followed by the finale of the spy thriller,” the source said.
The report further added that Hrithik will next work with Agneepath director Karan Malhotra in Krrish 4. According to the portal’s source, the makers have been working on the script for the last few years. “They will start the project in the summer of 2025 with schedules in Mumbai and parts of Europe,” the source said.
Earlier in 2024, Hrithik’s father Rakesh Roshan had given a big update on Krrish 4. In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, he was asked if he would be directing a film soon. The filmmaker announced his retirement from directing, saying, “I don’t think I will direct any further.”
However, Rakesh Roshan promised his upcoming production and said that he will announce Krrish 4 very soon.
The superhero franchise consists of three films, Koi…Mil Gaya, Krrish and Krrish 3. All of them are directed by Rakesh Roshan but he will return as a producer only for the next film.
Talking about War 2, the action thriller also stars Kiara Advani and Jr NTR in important roles. This film is the sequel to the 2019 film War. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, it will release in 2025. Hrithik Roshan will reprise his character Kabir and will also play a special role in the spy universe film Alpha.
