Actor Shah Rukh Khan shared a post on Thursday, expressing his shocks and grief in the plane crash in Ahmedabad on Thursday afternoon. Bollywood superstar mentioned that he was heartbroken by the tragedy.

“My prayer for the victims, their families and all affected (SIC),” he wrote on X, “he wrote on X.

SRK joined the list of film celebrities, who expressed grief in the loss of life in the incident. Actor Allu Arjun, Junior NTR, Akshay Kumar, Ritish Deshmukh, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karan Johar and Janhvi Kapoor, others also shared notes on social media, expressing deep feelings of grief after the incident. Several stars, including Rana Daggubati, Salman Khan and Akshay, canceled their respective media and public events after the news of the incident.

A devastating tragedy came to light in Ahmedabad on Thursday when Air India flight AI171, bound to a Boeing 787 Dreamliner London Gatvik, crashed a few moments after the take-off, radar figures revealed that the aircraft had climbed only 625 feet before the disaster.

The flight carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members left for IST from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at 1:39 pm and lost contact with air traffic control after less than a minute.

The aircraft released a call on the day of May 1 soon after departure, but immediately lost contact with air traffic control. It crashed outside the circumference of the airport near the Meghaninagar area. Visuals showed thick black smoke growing from the site, with seven fire engine running to control the explosion. All flight operations at the airport have been suspended.
