Ajay Devgan’s police drama, Singham Again, is on its way to setting some serious records on the first day at the box office. At least that’s what solid advance booking suggests. The final advance booking of the film opened everywhere on Wednesday, 30 October and there was a commotion at the ticket windows. The Rohit Shetty directorial is enjoying the highest number of shows in India and as of 11 am on Thursday, it has sold over 19 lakh tickets for its first day.

Adorned with a stellar star-cast, Singham Again has earned Rs 6.34 crore so far. According to the trade website report, this number, including data on blocked seats, is around Rs 8.91 crore Sacnilk,

Advance bookings are expected to increase by the end of the day and Friday, November 1, is likely to be even bigger than the opening day of other Singham films so far.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 advance booking update

Meanwhile, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which is challenging the smooth performance of Singham Again this Diwali, has also done incredible in advance bookings. The Kartik Aryan-starrer may be getting fewer shows than the police drama, but tickets are being sold like hotcakes.

As of 11 am on Thursday, the Anees Bazmee directorial has sold over 24 lakh tickets for 8805 shows across the country, taking its total earnings to Rs 9.94 crore (including blocked seats) so far. This clearly shows that despite having fewer screens, the film has been successful in attracting the audience to the theatres.

It will be interesting to see which film wins the final opening day battle at the box office tomorrow. The competition is tough and a lot is at stake.
