‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is just two days away from its big release. The Prabhas starrer has shown great pre-sales business.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is already doing well at the box office. Advance booking of this Prabhas starrer film started on Sunday and more than 5 lakh tickets of the film have been sold in just two days. The pre-sales earnings of the film have reached Rs 16.22 crore.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film is doing very well at the box office due to its novelty factor. Telugu market is leading the pack by selling more than 2.7 lakh tickets across all versions. According to reports published on trade websites Saconilc‘Kalki 2898 AD’ registered a gross business of over Rs 14.5 crore in two days from Telugu markets alone. The Hindi market, where advance bookings are slowly opening up, has already become the second biggest market for the film with a gross business of around Rs 1.17 crore in two days.
The film has a star cast including Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani. This data is taken from 8349 shows across the country. The IMAX 2D version is also showing slow growth in terms of pre-sales business.
Prabhas’ presence in the Telugu speaking states is tremendous and this has ensured a record breaking opening for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ at least in the South market. He is also the only Indian actor to have a Rs 100 crore (gross) collection four times. And given the kind of buzz ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is promising, he will add a new film to this list. ‘Baahubali 2’, ‘Saaho’, ‘Adipurush’ and ‘Salaar Part I: Ceasefire’ – all registered a gross opening of over Rs 100 crore for the pan-India superstar. The net collections of these films also ranged between Rs 80-100 crore, with ‘Baahubali 2’ topping the list with Rs 121 crore.
