Adobe has officially launched the Photoshop app for Android. The app is currently free to download from the app, Google Play Store in the beta version. Apps include firefly-operated generative AIs such as generative Phil, Adobe Stock Assets, Magic Wand. Adobe started earlier this year with the mobile version of Photoshop on iOS.
Extension is part of Adobe’s mobile strategy, aimed at providing access to professional photo editing tools such as Quick Photo Returing, Digital Art Creation and Social Media Content Productions. “Photoshop mobile, wherever from inspiration attacks, makes it easy to attack a video thumbnail, a vision board, or to capture an idea on leaving,” the company says.
Adobe Photoshop app features
Adobe says its new Android app and iOS apps include several main features such as layering, firefly-sponsored generative filler with additional capabilities soon.
Lairing and Masking: Users can combine and edit multiple elements with layers and apply non-destructive editing using masks.
Selection Equipment: The object select and magic wand allows users to quickly and accurately separate parts of an image.
brush tool: Spot healing brushes and clone stamps make it easier to retle and refine the images moving.
Generative Phil: One of the most notable features operated by Adobe’s Jugnu AI, allows users to add, remove or modify elements in an image using lesson-based signals.
Adjustment layers and mix mode: More advanced equipment gives experienced users flexibility to fix their editing.
Free Adobe Stock Property: This includes a curated selection of images and design resources by Adobe available directly to users within the app.
According to Adobe, the objective of the features in mobile is to complete both beginner and experienced Photoshop users who want access to the required photo editing tools from their smartphones.
Adobe Photoshop app availability and requirements
Photoshop app is currently in beta and is now available for download through Google Play Store for Android 11 or later devices. To ensure a smooth experience, Adobe recommends the minimum 6GB RAM, although suggested for 8GB or more optimal performance.
The app is free to use during the beta phase, and all features-include premiums such as firefly-operated generative filling-is accessible without membership. However, Adobe has not specified how long the beta period will remain or whether a payment model will be followed. But we are expecting the final version soon.
Meanwhile, Photoshop Mobile’s iOS version is available at the Apple App Store and receiving regular updates with its Android equivalent.
How to use Adobe Photoshop app
Once the Google Play Store or Apple App Store is downloaded from users, users have to log in or sign up with an account. The users can then use the available tools to edit their photos.
For additional guidance, the app also includes tutorials manufactured directly in the app, which guides users through workflows such as layering, object selection and using generic AI tools.
Additionally, the app also includes on-app learning modules that users can checkout to familiarize themselves with mobile interfaces, while community platforms provide support, response and a location to share creative functions.
