This tells the story of women who are left behind in a village empty of men. Women’s experiences are depicted through women’s mythological folklore that forbid to enter a river where a snake is awaited.
The International Film Festival witnessed the screening of films like Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Frankstein’, Noah Bombac’s ‘J Kelly’ and Luka Guadagino’s ‘After the Hunt’.
‘Hunt after’, in which Julia Roberts was also included in a decisive character, was questioned to be themed around the Metu campaign. Roberts, reacting to the same, emphasized “losing the art of interaction in humanity”, as stated by Diversity,
‘J. Kelly’, which includes actors George Clooney and Adam Sandler, received an ovity to stand 8.5 minutes from the audience.
The film festival ends on 5 September 2025.
