Actress Tamannaah Bhatia recently revealed in a podcast how director SS Rajamouli taught her how to shoot a bow and arrow and sword. She shared her experience of working with him and also revealed how the filmmaker practices action scenes before the actors perform them. Tamannaah played one of the lead roles in the iconic Baahubali 1 and 2.

Recently, she appeared on Raj Shamani’s podcast where she opened up about working with SS Rajamouli in the Baahubali films.

Talking about Rajamouli, he said, “He is unreal. He has always been someone who has made films in a commercial setup but with a lot of emphasis on emotions. He always brings the emotions of human and animal relationships in his films. He has shown the same in Magadheera as well. He knows how to tell a story in a way that one gets completely immersed in it. While working in Baahubali, I also realised that his pre-production is next level.”

Tamannaah shared an interesting anecdote about the RRR director. “Before the actors come on the set, be it an action or a dance sequence, he practices it himself. He checks everything. He taught me how to use a bow and arrow during Baahubali. I had never picked it up in my life, not even a sword. I came straight to the sets of Baahubali from shooting with Mahesh Babu in Switzerland,” she said.

The Aranmanai 4 actress said she was the last person to work on Baahubali. “I had no time to prepare. The film was shot over a period of three years, but I hardly got any training. So, he taught me every single thing. He would perform every scene. He used VFX before people even knew about it,” she said.

Tamannaah was last seen in Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s film ‘Stree 2’. Now she is waiting for the release of her Telugu film Odela 2.
