Actress Sharvari Wagh is currently going through the best phase of her career. After the stupendous success of Munjya, the actress received critical acclaim for the Netflix release Maharaj, and was last seen in the John Abraham-starrer Veda. In an exclusive conversation with India Today, she spoke about the film’s performance at the box office and said that she took a “leap of faith” with Veda and called it a success. She also added that she has no control over whether the film will eventually work or not.
Sharvari told India Today, “Honestly, there are two different ways to look at it. For me, my heart in Veda was in the role and the performance. I really think the heart of the film was in the right place. Now the business decisions, whether things work or not, it’s not my cup of tea because this is only my third film in theatres. So, it’s something that I’m still learning, and I’m still trying to understand how it translates and what’s right in terms of business.”
“I think this role was very difficult and challenging and beyond comfort for me. So, when I got the love of the audience, I was satisfied because I had trusted my performance. It could have happened in a hundred other ways. For me it happened the right way, it’s a big victory. I have not done drama, which is very difficult, and this was a big success for me,” Sharvari said.
Veda is in cinemas now.
