Actress Renu Desai has issued a legal warning to trolls who target her personal life and use abusive language. She said that the harassment due to online abuse has increased after her divorce from Pawan Kalyan.

Actress and activist Renu Desai has issued a public warning to online trolls who keep dragging up her past with ex-husband Pawan Kalyan. The warning comes after a rise in online abuse, which Desai says has escalated since her divorce from the actor and politician in 2012. Desai highlighted that the references to her personal life have been ongoing for years, with the situation further heightened following her participation in a press conference held in January regarding street dog attacks. This public appearance led to renewed criticism and personal attacks on social media.
Sharing her video, Desai wrote, “Now if I get any abuse directed at me, I will not spare you! I will make sure the cyber police find out where you live and arrest you! Enough with the ridiculous abuses.” He stressed his intention to seek legal recourse against those who use vulgar or abusive language.
Terming some of the abusive messages as extremely disturbing, Desai said, “Don’t you have any conscience? You are calling me a rabies l***a and expecting dogs to bite off my private parts. What kind of language is this? I will not be quiet any longer. I will use my influence and come to your house, tell your parents what you have done.”

Reflecting on the scrutiny of his personal life, the actor said, “I’ve heard all kinds of things about me, especially since my divorce in 2012. You’ve covered every aspect of my personal life and commented on how much alimony I’ve taken or joined a political party. I thought there was nothing left to say about me.”
Desai and Kalyan married in 2009 after a long-term relationship that began in 2001, and have two children. Their marriage ended in 2012. Kalyan has remarried and has children from his current marriage.
These personal details have often been referenced by online trolls targeting Desai online.

Desai acknowledged that her decision to address the street dog issue was criticized, saying, “When they held a press meet on the street dog issue in January, I initially refused because I knew I would be constantly criticized. And yet, instead of understanding what I have said, you have turned it into a circus. I have been trolled again. Tell me you don’t like my acting, my work, it’s freedom of expression. But every time you bring my personal life to the fore Let’s bring it.”
Through his statements, Desai has urged an end to personal and derogatory remarks, and stressed his willingness to take legal action if the harassment continues.
