Actress Rashmi Desai has been working in the television and film industry for more than two decades. Now in an interview, she revealed about facing the casting couch when she had just started her career. Rashmi told how a man tried to make her unconscious during an audition.

Rashmi spoke to Bollywood Bubble and told about the incident. He said that he had talked about the same incident many times before and even though it had happened years ago, it was still fresh in his mind.

The 38-year-old shared, “Unfortunately, I experienced something like this, and I have talked about it on many occasions. The internet is already filled with many such stories. I remember I was called for an audition. “And when I went there, there was no one there except (the man), I was just 16 years old and he tried to make me unconscious, but after a few hours I managed to escape from there.”

Rashmi, who also participated in Bigg Boss 13 along with the late Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill, among others, said that she informed her mother about the incident, who took immediate action.

The Uttaran star said his mother taught the man a lifelong lesson. Rashmi told, ‘I remember that the next day I went to meet him with my mother and my mother slapped him to teach him a lesson.’

She later went on to talk about finding good people in the industry and enjoying her work. Rashmi said that casting couch is part of every industry and one has to choose one’s path without getting affected by such practices.

He concluded, “Casting couch is a real thing, but still, there are good and bad people in every industry. I’ve been fortunate to have worked with some fantastic people who I’ve had great working experiences with. “God has been merciful.”

Rashmi is known for her acting in TV shows like Dil Se Dil Tak, Naagin (2015) and many Bhojpuri films.
