Actress Radhikaa Sarathkumar reacts to Rajinikanth’s response on Hema committee report
Radikaa Sarathkumar held a press conference in Chennai where she spoke about Rajinikanth’s silence on the Hema committee report.

Veteran actress Radhikaa Sarathkumar spoke about superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘I don’t know anything about the Hema committee report’ comment at a press meet in Chennai. Speaking to the media on September 2, Radhika said, “If he knew, he would have commented. He doesn’t know so he didn’t comment.”
A few days ago, Rajinikanth had claimed that he was not aware of the explosive Hema Committee report which exposed sexual harassment, casting couch and lobbying in the Malayalam film industry.
Speaking on the silence of big actors, she said, “Your silence can set a wrong precedent. They should just come out and express solidarity with the women who have been wronged. This simple statement will give hope to women who have gone through harassment.”
A few days ago, Radhika in an interview to a Malayalam regional channel revealed how hidden cameras were installed inside vanity vans on Malayalam film sets. Giving an update on the same, she said, “Four days ago, the Special Investigation Team called me. I appreciated them for being proactive and taking immediate action. They asked me for an explanation. I gave them the explanation. I didn’t file any complaint, so I have nothing to investigate.”
Radhika Sarathkumar also pointed out that men often ask women why they don’t complain about harassment immediately. “Men often ask this question. Do you know what the mindset of women is? When they are coming forward, they should at least be heard. We need to create a powerful committee like a strong HR team with trustworthy people to prevent such incidents from happening further,” she explained.
Recently, actor Vishal said that he would form a committee like Hema committee in the Tamil industry. Radhika said that if she is ever contacted, she will give her suggestion.
Radhikaa Sarathkumar said she knew women who had been victims of harassment and expressed her solidarity with them.
