Television actress Pooja Banerjee dismissed reports claiming that she was involved in a money laundering case. The ‘Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain’ actor gave an official statement criticizing the reports. They also attached the legal notice they had sent for the “false, inaccurate and misleading” content.

Pooja started her note with the words, “Hello my dear well-wishers, wishing you all a very Happy New Year,” and added, “I didn’t want to put this as my first post of 2025 but sadly The last few days have been disappointing and full of regrets. I was recently falsely convicted in a money laundering case. Sadly, this news has been published by almost all media pages and outlets using my name, picture and my credentials. with Was broadcasted (sic).”

She further added, “I was not aware of the news as I was in South Africa with my family when false allegations were made without any comment from me or my team. I was disappointed because generally everyone Media people who were in touch when I was working as an artist usually took a quote before putting the news or were always curious to know about the show and its fate etc., sadly. The thing is that the same people did not even ask me whether the news was true. No. I personally tried to connect with many media people to tell them the truth, some of them behaved as if it was not their responsibility to double check the news. ‘Reliable’ source or even after publishing my news with my credentials and photo they pretended they didn’t ‘know me (sic).”

Another part of his note read, “My family members were extremely distressed by such a blatant false allegation being spread in all the news that we have decided to take the legal route to clarify our stand that no such action is taken under the law.
