Actress Parvathy Thiruvothu, who is gearing up for the release of her film ‘Ullozhukku’, reveals the reason behind not doing many Malayalam films in the last few years. Manorama OnlineParvathy said that there have been a lot of changes in the market which need to be understood more. Last year she was seen in the Telugu show ‘Dhoota’ and the Hindi film ‘Kadak Singh’.

Clarifying the rumours, Parvathy said, “I have not moved anywhere. It is not as simple as moving from one district to another. There have been a lot of changes in the market and we have to adapt accordingly. If there are better opportunities in other industries, I will move there.”

He further added, “After ‘City of God’, it took four years to do ‘Bangalore Days’. Even then, when people considered it my comeback, I didn’t feel that way.”

Parvathy also spoke about the difficulty of releasing a film in theatres these days. “Producers have to take care of a lot of things. Sometimes, a film starts as a theatre release and ends up releasing on OTT. OTT is not a bad sector. There is no need to think like that. The important thing is that the film should release.”

Talking about work, his upcoming film is ‘Ulozhukku’, which will hit the theatres on June 21. The actor will be seen opposite Urvashi in director Christo Tomy’s film.

Apart from this, she also has Tamil film ‘Thangalan’ and Malayalam film ‘Her’ directed by Pa Ranjith and Chiyaan Vikram. The release dates of these two films have not been announced yet.
