Actress Jenna Ortega recalls disturbing AI-generated content of herself on X
Hollywood star Jenna Ortega shared her distressing experience of AI-generated explicit content and ongoing online harassment since her teenage years.

Hollywood actress Jenna Ortega has revealed a disturbing experience involving AI-generated explicit content about herself on social media. In a recent conversation Interview In the podcast, Ortega discussed the impact this content has had on his mental health and the need for stricter regulations on AI technology.
Ortega revealed that she first saw pornographic images of herself created by AI when she was 14. “It’s horrible. It’s depraved,” she said. “Did I like creating a Twitter (now X) account at 14 and seeing dirty edited content of myself as a child? No.”
The actress recounted a similar incident that occurred at the age of 12, when she received an unsolicited pornographic photo from a stranger. This experience marked the beginning of a pattern of online harassment that continued throughout her teenage years.
She said, “I used to have a Twitter account and I was told, ‘Oh, you have to do this, you have to build your image’. I deleted it about two, three years ago because there were so many people after the show – these ridiculous pictures and images, and I was already confused that I deleted it. It was disgusting and it made me feel bad. It made me feel uncomfortable. Anyway, that’s why I deleted it, because I couldn’t say anything without it looking like that. So one day I suddenly woke up and I thought, oh, I don’t need this anymore. So I deleted it.”
On the professional front, Jenna Ortega will next be seen in Tim Burton’s ‘Beetlejuice’. A sequel to Beetlejuice (1988) and the second film in the Beetlejuice franchise, it also stars Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara. The fantasy horror film will release in US theatres on September 4.
