The news comes several months after she fainted on a beach and hit her head on a rock, an incident that occurred in early 2025. Lily revealed that she recently had a brain scan. Significant changes were seen in his cognitive functioning. “Almost every area of my brain is operating at reduced capacity,” he said. According to him, the results confirm that he has suffered brain damage as a result of the traumatic brain injury sustained in the accident.

“So, I have brain damage from a TBI,” or traumatic brain injury, “and there may possibly be other factors,” Lilly continued. His statement highlighted the uncertainty he and his health care team face as they work to determine the full extent of the injury and any related health issues.
Despite the challenges, Lily stated her intention to work closely with doctors for her recovery. “But, now, my job is to get to the bottom of it with the doctors and then start the hard work of fixing it, which I don’t expect because I feel like I just have to work harder,” she shared, expressing both determination and fatigue as she described her next steps.
The incident that led to his injury was previously discussed in a Substack blog post. Lily wrote that she “fainted on the beach. And fell face down on a rock,” adding that she “has experienced fainting spells ever since I was a little girl.” He has since described the incident as a “major head injury” and a “shock”.

My cognitive decline since I hit my face has helped me slow down and help me finish off my 2025 in a more comfortable way. I think this was the calmest, most relaxing Christmas holiday I’ve had, probably since I had kids 14 years ago. So that’s a good thing,” Lily continued.
