The release date of Chiyaan Vikram’s upcoming film Veera Dheera Suran: Part 2 has been announced. This action thriller film will be released in theaters worldwide on March 27, 2025. The release date was announced by the makers with a poster, which features Vikram playing the role of Kaali – a loving father and a shady husband, as shown earlier. A teaser.

In the release date poster, Vikram can be seen in a rugged look with a weapon on his shoulder. Vikram shared the poster on his social media with the caption, “Our Ghatak Kaali is all set to meet you in theaters from 27th March 2025! Mark the date and get ready to watch Chiyaan Vikram’s epic action thriller Veera Dheera Sooran. A picture of SU Arun Kumar. A GV Prakash musical (sic).”

A teaser of the film was released on December 9, 2024, promising a power-packed action thriller directed by Vikram. The 1 minute 47 second long teaser shows Kaali as a loving family man, with a wife and a child, living a life with two shades, one where he runs a provision store and the other Where he runs a gang of thugs. This film was earlier scheduled to release on January 30.

Directed by SU Arun Kumar, the film also stars SJ Surya opposite Vikram in the role of a police officer, while Dushara Vijayan plays the role of Kali (Vikram)’s wife. The music of the film has been composed by GV Prakash.

Chiyaan Vikram was last seen in Thangaalan, which was released in August 2023. Although the film received mixed reviews, Vikram’s performance was unanimously praised. Directed by Pa Ranjith, Thangaalan featured Vikram along with Parvathy, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathi and Hollywood actor Daniel Caltagirone.
