Actor Varun Sood, who is currently hosting Discovery Channel India’s original show reality show Queens of the Jungle, reflected on his viral biryani video that garnered massive attention on social media. The video, shot as part of the promotional strategy for their previous release, Call Me Bay, quickly became a fan favorite. In an exclusive conversation with India Today Digital, Varun gave a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the making of the viral clip.

“I had a lot of fun on the set, where we were just laughing, and I was the one laughing at myself the most. It was meant as a joke on itself. And then the audience was just like, ‘Oh my God, we didn’t expect you to do this in a very positive way.’

He further added, “We expected people to laugh at it, but then it turned out to be different. It went viral and I think it served its purpose because people went and watched the show.”
