Actor Unni Mukundan has taken a strong stand against piracy, sharing an emotional note with fans about the piracy leak of his recent film Marco. The actor made a public appeal via Instagram requesting support from the audience.

Malayalam action-thriller Marco has been a word-of-mouth success and is gradually gaining greater reach theatrically in other states. Despite its success, the film has faced a major setback due to piracy. Shortly after its release, pirated versions of the film began circulating online, prompting lead actor Unni Mukundan to speak out on Instagram.

In her post, she urged viewers, “Please do not watch pirated movies. We are helpless. Only you can stop this by not watching/downloading movies online.”

His heartfelt appeal received widespread support from fans on social media, many of whom echoed his sentiments about preserving the theatrical experience. Expected to stream in multiple languages ​​including Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and Telugu, the digital release will reportedly feature an extended runtime with deleted scenes.

Directed and written by Hanif Adeni, Marco was made on a reported budget of Rs 30 crore. The film released simultaneously in Malayalam and Hindi, with the Telugu version hitting the theaters on January 1 and the Tamil version releasing on January 3.
