Actor Silambarasan stands with Vijay as Jana Nayagan’s release remains uncertain
Actor Silambarasan TR has spoken out in support of Vijay, whose film Jana Nayakan has been delayed due to ongoing legal hassles with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Vijay’s latest movie, Jan NayganStill awaiting release after several legal hurdles related to its censor certification. Amidst the uncertainty over its release, actor Silambarasan expressed his support towards Vijay and how he is eagerly awaiting the release of the film. Originally scheduled to release in theaters on January 9, the postponement of the film has come as a disappointment to fans and industry insiders, with uncertainty still remaining over its release path.
In a recent interview with VikatanSilambarasan underlined Vijay’s deep connection with the project, saying, “We cannot be separated Jan Naygan And victory.”
He also addressed Vijay’s political journey, saying, “He has been in this industry for so many years and last worked in a film. I put up a post supporting him because the film should come. I neither know politics nor have relevant experience in it. I am not even the right person to speak about it. I wish him all the best for his upcoming political endeavors and his future in it.”
Earlier, actor Silambarasan TR had publicly supported Vijay. In an ex-post he wrote, “Dear Vijay Anna, setbacks have never stopped you. You have braved even bigger storms. This too shall pass, the real Thiruvizha begins the day Jana Nayagan releases.” The message impressed fans who were eagerly waiting for clarity on the film’s release.

The Madras High Court recently quashed the earlier direction issued by a single judge, which had ordered the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to grant a certificate to the film. The Division Bench observed that the direction was passed without allowing adequate time for counter affidavits, effectively stalling the process going forward. The court ordered a fresh hearing.
Following the decision, KVN Productions, which is backing the film, is expected to approach the CBFC’s review committee. At this time, officials have not issued any formal statement on further action.
