Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade has reacted to the rumour of his death. Sharing a post on Instagram, he assured his fans of his safety. He also slammed trolls for ‘creating unnecessary anxiety’ and hurting the feelings of his family.

A false rumour about Shreyas Talpade’s death spread rapidly on social media, causing widespread concern among his fans. To address this worrying misinformation, the actor released a statement, condemning those who spread the false rumour.

His long note read, “Dear all, I would like to assure everyone that I am alive, happy and healthy. I have come to know about a viral post claiming my demise. While I understand that humour has its place, when misused, it can cause real harm. What started as a joke is now causing unnecessary anxiety and playing with the emotions of people who care about me, especially my family.”

Shreyas further added, “My younger daughter, who goes to school every day, is already worried about my well-being, constantly asking questions and seeking reassurance. This false news further adds to her fears, forcing her to face more questions from her peers and teachers, further fuelling our emotions, which we are trying to handle as a family.”

Slamming the trolls, he wrote in a separate post, “To those who spread this content, I ask them to pause and consider the impact. Many people have genuinely prayed for my well-being, and it is disappointing to see humour being used in a way that can hurt feelings, upset my loved ones, and disrupt our lives. When you spread such rumours, it doesn’t just affect the targeted person – it also affects their family, especially young children, who may not fully understand the situation, but still feel emotionally upset.”

He concluded by adding, “I am so grateful to everyone who checked in on me during this time. Your concern and love means a lot to me. I have a simple request to the trolls: please stop. Don’t make jokes at the expense of others and don’t do this to anyone else. I don’t want anything like this to happen to you, so please be sensitive. Getting engagement and likes should never come at the cost of other people’s feelings. Love always Shreyas Talpade.”

Shreyas Talpade in December 2023 have a heart attack and he was immediately rushed to the hospital. Recalling the horrific experience, the actor shared with a media outlet that he looks at his recovery as a ‘second chance in life’. On the work front, Shreyas is currently busy with his upcoming film Sadhna. During the shooting of the film ‘Welcome to the Jungle’.
