Actor Saqib Ayub Malegaon on box office superboy: We get only 500-600 screens
In a special interview, actor Saqib Ayub spoke about Reema Kagti’s visit to Superboy of Malegaon. The actor also discussed the limited screen release of the film.

Filmmaker Reema Kagti’s superboy of Melagaon fell in love with all quarters. The film claims an attire, including Adarsh Gaurav, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora and Anuj Singh Duhan. Actor Saqib Ayub, who played Urfan in the film, opened about the emotional journey of being a part of a story, which celebrates dreams, flexibility and a sense of filmmaking.
In an interview with India Today Digital, actor, Overwhelmed by love post, Admitted that he was not ready for the incredible response received by the film.
“I am getting some very amazing and great reactions,” Saqib says with real bliss.
“Every day, people are tagging us on their stories left, right and center. They are taking time to write a heartfelt message to join films, actors, writers and all.
He says that positivity has spread through every platform. “My message requests are flooded. Friends and friends of the expanded family, all are reaching out, sharing how much the film has touched them. It is beautiful.
While the film has received a bright reception, its box office trip has faced challenges, mainly due to limited screen release. Accepting this inequality, Saqib said, “We got around 500-600 screens across the country, which is nothing compared to other releases that receive around 6,000 to 8,000 screens. Considering reaching us; I think the business has been very good. Theaters in cities like Bombay and Delhi are still showing 80% ability in the second week.”
He also said that “a friend told me how people remained back to the end of the credit. The climax has given up such a strong impact that the audience is appreciated at the end. It is one of those rare moments in cinema.”
Malegaon’s Superboy is a heartbreaking story Chasing his dreams in adverse conditions about interested filmmakers. For Saqib, the relationship of the story was both deep and personal.
“You don’t need to come from a special background to sympathize with the characters,” they explain. “The job of an actor is to understand and be the character. I have spent my childhood part in areas like Bombay Central, so I know how life is. Whatever is the happiness with people – the soul we have portrayed.”
The actor also credits the film’s immersive preparation process for his stellar execution. “We had workshops with Atul Mongia, one of the most vast acting coaches. In addition, we had to meet the real Nasir and Alim, whose stories inspired the film.”
While stories like Superboy of Malegaon can create deep feelings, Saqib says that the main spirit she had taken was the inspiration.
“It was not heavy; it was inspiring,” he reflects. “The people of Malegaon did not wait for the opportunities to come in their way. They grabbed a handicam and without worrying about the films.
After Malegaon, Saqib has an impressive lineup of projects. He has a web show called release first copy on Amazon MX in April. She has hit 3 with Nani with a cameo in Vietnam, an Indo-Vietnamese film Love, and Vikas Bahl’s Darbja in her kitty.
